Development and commercialization of paper tubes, scallops, and mozuku drying methods using a combination of hot air drying and microwave heating

Microwave heating is used in combination with the drying method in the paper tube manufacturing process, and drying is possible in a short time.
The drying method used in combination with microwave heating was applied to the drying of the mozuku to shorten the drying time, yield is good, and hygienic processing was realized. In addition, this device improves the efficiency of work.
There are about 85 manufacturers in Japan that require paper tube dryers, and more than 250 in factories.
About the scallops, the production volume in Japan is largest in China, which is 530,000 tons per year.
For dried mozuku, there is an annual production volume of 20,000 tons in Okinawa Prefecture, and there are more than 10 processing companies and more than 25 companies considering drying.
We are also considering overseas sales of paper pipes and scallop dryers.

In order to increase the production volume of Fujieda tea, cellulose nanofibers for food derived from Fujieda tea (CNF)and plans to commercialize them in 2019 and launch them in 2020.

Collaboration

西光エンジニアリング (株) Based on the Regional Economic Traction Project Plan approved in 2018, we have developed a CNF concentrator and a green tea-derived CNF manufacturing equipment.
CNF for foods derived from green tea is said to be effective, such as sustained aroma.
However, since the fiber length of green tea is shortened when nano-sized, it was necessary to devise such as make a long fiber length of rough tea.
In order to promote production facilities and product development in the future, we are working on the development of new products by utilizing various subsidies such as 5 million yen for food CNF research from the Shizuoka Prefecture Industrial Promotion Foundation.

 Fujieda Green Tea Moon Peach Research and Development
   Research on flavors mainly based on moon peaches and moon peaches

This is a collaboration product of the flavor of medicinal plants that grow naturally in Fujiedacha and Miyako Island, and is a powder package that allows you to take all of the ingredients held by green tea and medicinal plants.
It is a simple packaging in a flat bag for cost reduction.


In Miyakojima City, which is a friendly city with Fujieda City, we paid attention to the fact that there are many medicinal plants that grow naturally, such as moon peaches (sanin), longevity grass (button bowfish), and lemongrass, and we prototyped flavored green tea blended with dried powder dried with microwaves and powder of Fujieda tea. It was hot in Fujieda, and it was tasted with ice cream in Miyako Island, but the results were both well received.
In this project, by utilizing the dry powder of medicinal plants that grow naturally on Miyako Island, even cold tea such as jasmine tea has a strong aroma,Flavored Fujieda Green Teafrom Miyako Island, which likes to drink such tea, and expand its sales channels to countries such as Okinawa Prefecture, Southeast Asia, and Taiwan.

1) Research on how to process flavors with good color and aroma.
Compare dried products after steaming with dried products of raw tea.
It also serves as a cleaning and sterilization, to determine the optimal steaming conditions for the fuller bar of steaming.
2) Research on how to drain after steaming.
It is necessary to drain in a short time and dry quickly, and consider a method that can be processed in a short time.
